- University Invites Applications for the MBA Programs of the University. Graduates from any stream can apply. Applications are invited for 540 Seats of 9 MBA Programs.
- University has two Centers of MBA Teaching on its Campus namely Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) http://www.lkouniv.ac.in/management_sciences.html with 420 Seats and Department of Business Administration (DBA) http://www.lkouniv.ac.in/buss_admin.html with 120 seats. Total seats available are 540.
- Information about Lucknow University MBA Program is detailed in the Prospectus (IMS) and Prospectus (DBA).

University will allow admission through following routes :
- CAT Score
- LU MAT Score
- Applicants who have CAT Score Can Apply. Applicants Who Do Not Have CAT Score Can Also Apply.
- Applicants who have CAT Score will appear directly for GD/PI on the basis of a combined Merit list.
- Applicants, who do not have CAT Score will appear for LUMAT-2014 (Written Test) and will appear for GD/PI on the basis on combined Merit list.

Admission to Lucknow University MBA will be based on The Combined Merit List (On the Basis of Equalization/Scaling Formula Laid down by the Expert group for creating a combined Merit list from CAT and LUMAT-2014) plus Group Discussion & Interview. The weights given will be as follows :
Merit Score : 70% Group Discussion : 10% Personal Interview : 12% Work Experienc : 3% Academic Index : 5% - Proposed Examination Centers for Written Exam LUMAT-2014 are Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Noida/Delhi, Dehradun, Patna (Centers could be increased, decreased or changed at the sole discretion of the University without any prior notice).

MBA (Corporate Management)
The two-year (four-semester) full-time programmeleading to the award of MBA (Corporate Management)degree is a Post Graduate highly professional course forcareer opportunities in the key areas of the management ofbusiness houses in general and corporate organizations inparticular. The speciality of MBA (CM) as compared to thesimilar management programmes like MBA stems fromthe fact that it has papers related to legal and strategicaspects specially suited to corporates.
MBA (Finance & Control)
The two-year (four-semester) full-time programmeleading to the award of MBA (Finance & Control) degree isa post graduate highly professional course for careeropportunities in the key areas of Finance. Withglobalisation of Indian economy, organisations needprofessionals who understand international finance andinternational capital-market. These developments place apremium on well trained young men and womenpossessing superior professional skills in financial analysisand management. Hence this programme aims atdeveloping such skills in students so as to handle thechallenges in the area of finance in a complex businessenvironment.
MBA (HR & IR)
The aim of the Course is to impart knowledge anddevelop skills in various areas of Human ResourceManagement and Industrial Relations. Human resourcesmanagement is an all pervasive process beginning fromprocurement of right kind of personnel required forperforming various types of functions essential forattainment of stipulated objectives up to their separationfrom organization. Human resource is very delicate andcomplex and its management obviously requires verysophisticated and careful handling. Human resourcemanagement course strives to blend organizational needson the one hand and satisfaction of employee’s needs onthe other.Realizing the vital need for selection of adequatelytrained human resource managers in organisations,University of Lucknow started a two-year self financingmaster’s course in Human Resource management andIndustrial Relations which is based on the assessment ofvaried kinds of roles and responsibilities which humanresource managers would be required to shoulder.
MBA (International Business)
The contribution of the external sectors of theeconomy is very crucial for country's growth and prosperity. Foreign earnings of companies indicate theircompetitive poison in the international arena. Differentcompanies use different routes to enter foreign countriesstarting with exports, franchise operations, overseasmanufacturing, and joint ventures and setting foreignsubsidiaries. Operating in International environmentrequires understanding of International economy, crosscultural issues and global business environment.With concepts like globalization and liberalizationruling the roost, radical changes in the world economicscenario, changes in Indian economy like rupeeconvertibility and increased Foreign Direct Investments,there is a lot of scope for professionals to handleinternational financial, marketing, operations and tradetransactions. The programme exposes students to portvisits and facilitates learning of foreign languages as well.
MBA (Marketing)
Few people would like to enter an organization as aCEO with general responsibilities. Rather, they wouldprefer entering a particular management function such asFinance, Production, Personnel and of course marketingwhere they are valued primarily for their in-depthknowledge and skills in specific areas. It was in recognitionof this prime requisite for expertise that the MBA(Marketing) Programme was developed. The aim was todesign various marketing courses so that our studentsstand out from the very large and growing number ofpeople with general management qualification. The MBA(Marketing) Programme is an answer to the potentials andchallenges unleashed by Liberalization, Mercerization andGlobalisation.
The thrust areas in its course structure areMarketing Research, all disciplines of MarketingManagement and Quantitative Analysis includingEconometrics. The paper on Econometrics, whichexamines the interaction and interconnection betweenEconomic Analysis and Marketing Research, is the firstcourse of its kind in India introduced by MBA (Marketing)Programme. Rural Marketing, Industrial Marketing,Services Marketing and International Marketing are someof the major attributes of the programme.
MBA (Management Sciences)
The two year (Four semester) full-time programmeleading to award of MBA (Management Science) degree isa highly professional course which aims at turning outhighly specialized and responsible young individuals fullyequipped with the core skills required for managingbusiness establishments of any kind, size and nature – themulti-nationals, emerging and operating in a highlycompetitive global environment.
The need of the hour is to constantly endeavour forenhancing the corporate competitiveness through highlevel of operational efficiency and effectiveness which, inturn, requires optimal utilization of all visible and invisibleresources and to achieve this a team of competent anddedicated manpower under the leadership of world classManagers.The focus of MBA (MS) programme is to developanalytical and decision making skills through exposer todecisional models. The thrust is both on quantitativeanalysis and qualitative judgement.
MBA (Retail Management)
India has a very strong retail sector which contributes approximately 15percent to the Country’s GDP and employs about 40 million Indians. It is obvious that the Indian retail marketspromise great opportunities with the expansion ofexisting as well as new markets, categories and formats. Itis rapidly transforming from being a transaction to anexperience. This has been manifested through the openingof various malls and large-size department stores acrossthe country. The importance of managing retailingefficiently and effectively is obvious in the light of thissector’s growth potential and the increasing levels ofcompetition. MBA (Retail Management) programme isaimed at inculcating managerial skills and sharpening thebusiness acumen of the students so that they can contributesignificantly in the rapidly emerging organized retail industry.

- Students with CAT score and without CAT Score can apply online.
- University will conduct its own admission test 'LUMAT-2014'. Students with CAT scores can apply directly others will have to appear for LUMAT-2014. Applicants from both stream will appear for GD & Interview.
- Applications for both streams will be received online from 20th March 2014 to 20th April 2014.

- Before Applying, you have to pay the fees to the University.
- Application Fee for General/OBC category candidates will be Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand Indian Rupees) and Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred Indian Rupees) for SC/ST category candidates. Those who cannot pay Online in the absence of Debit Card/Credit Card etc., may pay by cash at any of the State Bank of India Branches through the hard copy of the Challan, which you will have to print from this Website.
- While,Before printing the fees Challan or before making Online payment, the system will generate a unique Transaction number for you and same would be displayed when you complete the Fees deposit process. This Transaction number would also be emailed to you at the email address mentioned during Fees deposit process and a SMS would also be sent to your registered mobile number. This Transaction number will be required for submitting The Online Application Form.
- After depositing the fees as per the instructions, you will have to submit the Application Form Online. For this purpose you will have to open this Website again and after reading the Instructions you will have to click the Button 'Register and submit Application'. The system would ask you the Transaction Id given by the State Bank of India to you at the time of depositing Fees, and your Date of Birth. After verifying your credentials, the System would display the Online Application format to fill up the required information which you were not asked to supply at the time of Fees depositing. The Online Application Form can only be filled next day or later (i.e. if Fees is deposited on 20.03.2014 then Application Form can be filled up only on 21.03.2014 or later. This is due to time taken with State Bank of India for receiving the Fees submitted by you.
- When you finish the Application and submit the same after Confirmation, the system will generate a unique Registration number and password for you and same would be displayed when you complete the Registration process. This Registration number would also be emailed to you at the email address mentioned during registration process and a SMS would also be sent to your registered mobile number. This Registration number will be required for all future references/correspondence.
- After filling the Online Form, you will be prompted to take print-out of the filled-up Application Form. You should take two copies of the print-out and keep one with you for future reference.The other copy will be submitted at the University. If you do not have a printer attached to the computer while filling-up for Online Application, you can complete the application process and take the printout of the application form later by entering your Registration number and Password. You do not have to send any Document to the University. All the Documents would be required at the time of Written Test & GD/PI.
- You should upload your recent Photograph, not older than 6 months, in JPEG format only. The Size of the Photograph and Signature combined should be under 100 KB. Your Name Should be recorded below the Photo.
- You should submit the information relevant to the Application only. Any information uploaded which is obscene, objectionable, fake or irrelevant to the Admission process would be treated as an offence and suitable action would be initiated as per the law of the land and you would be debarred from further stages of Admission process.
- While filling the application form you will be asked for Centre preferences to write the Examination. You are required to give three preferences for the centre. The University would try to accommodate the candidates at the Centres of their choices. However, University retains the right to allot you any Centre without taking your prior consent. Centre, once allotted would not be changed on request in any circumstances.
- Proposed Examination Centers for LUMAT-2014 (Written Examination) are Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, NOIDA/ Delhi, Dehradun, Patna (Centres could be increased, decreased or changed at the sole discretion of the University without any prior notice)
- After you have completed applying, close all the open Browser Windows so that others cannot copy your personal details.
At The Time of Entrance Exam / GD / PI Carry a copy of the form you have printed along with enclosing the following
- Original Bank Challan (University Copy)
- Copy of Caste Certificate
- Scholarship forms (if applicable).
- Candidates seeking benefit of zero fees have to submit income certificate in the name of Father (or Mother) indicating the gross annual income of the family, issued from the competent authority. A copy of the most recent pay slip to be attached in case of employed persons. Proof of Address (As required by Govt for Zero Fee -the certificates must have been issued by the competent authority in any district in U.P. only).
- Copy of Address Proof (Voter ID, Passport, Ration Card, Driving Licence, electricity bill)
- Copy of Subcategory certificate (if applicable).
- These certificates should have been issued by competent authority within last six months.
- For non-creamy OBC candidates, the certificates must have been issued by the competent authority in any district in U.P. only.
